McFLY are a pop group with a difference - they play their own instruments and write their own songs. Their first single, " 5 Colours In Her Hair" entered the UK charts at number one in April 2004. Their second single, "Obviously" also made number ONE!!!!! Their first album titled "Room On The Third Floor" went straight into the charts at number one - giving them a world record. They were the youngest group to make the top spot since The Beatles.

McFLY's second album "Wonderland" also debuted at number 1. The first single from their second album was for the Comic Relief charity. "All About You"/"You've Got A Friend" also reached number 1. " All About You" featured a 60 piece orchestra and the video featured many famous celebrities. The video for "You've Got A Friend" was filmed in Uganda during a charity visit.

McFLY were winners of the Best Pop Act at the 2005 Brit Awards. The award was voted for by the public. At the Smash Hits Awards they also picked up 7 awards including Best Band, Stars Of The Year, Most Snoggable Male for Danny and Best Hair for Dougie.
